Tall Base Cabinet, drawn by Benchside at its standard size

Built around your shop

  • 84", 90" or 96" tall, or any height you type
  • Any width; wide ones get partitions, and one tall door becomes a pair past 24"
  • One tall door, two side by side, or one over the other at the height you pick
  • Adjustable shelves, or roll-out trays on full-extension slides with shelves above
  • Handles where a hand falls: about 39" off the floor on a tall door, high on a lower door, low on an upper one

How it goes together

  1. Cut the toe kicks, rabbets, dados, back groove and shelf-pin holes.
  2. Glue up the box with the back and the back rail (and the fixed shelf, with doors one over the other).
  3. Screw the tray cleats to the sides and build the trays, if it has them.
  4. Bore the hinge cups and hang the doors.
  5. Shim it level and screw it to the studs.

The plan has every step written against the part letters in its cut list, with drawings of each part that has joinery.
